Alba, my beautiful mum. There is so much to say but for now, I think mum's ability to knit all sorts of wonderful pieces, clothing us kids and so many others back in the 60s and 70s. Like Frida Kahlo, mum would combine unusual colours making them work in each piece she made. Mum's style was simple but stylish, so well made, neat and eye-catching. The green in ALBA reminds me of the colour of the dress she is wearing while dancing with dad. While the photo is black and white, after mum describing the colour, I can only see it in green. The little touch of white in the trinket is another of mum's character traits - no need to overdo the accessories.
